sometimes when I'm running, its so hard. its hard to breathe, my legs feel heavy, I can't find a rhythm, or I'm just tired.
but on other runs, everything falls into place.
my lungs inhale and exhale on a steady beat.
my head is perfectly still.
my steps are the exact distance apart and they land perfectly over and over.
my eyes close a bit- like I'm drowsy- and even though I'm exercising, I'm perfectly relaxed.
and when I'm finished, my body is tired, but my heart is rested and at peace.
I love it when that happens.
too often I go through life and work like the first description:
I'm slogging through- trying to catch my breath-
I want to learn to go through life and work like the second description-
fast, but not hurried.
efficient, but not exerted.
steady, peaceful and calm.
God is love.
